Go to (cd) to git repo.
1. Make a new branch :
git checkout -b newBranchName

<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">git checkout -b a10

2. Make changes are add all edited files to that branch in current and sub folders:

<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"> git add .

3. Commit to local branch, example:

<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">git commit -m "changes for release a10 issue 3291 user addresses"

4. Till now everything is on local, to push generally will do:

<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">git push

5. But since this is a new local branch need to tell git which remote branch it should point to, it does not assume it will have the same remote name, helps us by giving error message:
fatal: The current branch test has no upstream branch.
To push the current branch and set the remote as upstream, use

git push --set-upstream origin test<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">

So now give command:

<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"> git push --set-upstream origin test

if your remote auth is set up should push the changes. If branch is there on remote, made by someone else will get errors.

Generally need to do steps 2,3 and 4. Or can use your IDE to do the same.

A good stand alone UI is https://www.gitkraken.com/features need this for multiple branches for simple one branch work IDE with git plugin is enough or the command line.
Not the same generic ones

To freelancer and other sites that help you find coders and part time workers online:
New feature suggestion
Pity we cant add skills in project keywords. we need to add some general skill where there are 50,000 freelancers but few in what we want.

Why cant you add a feature like http://stackoverflow.com/ where people with experience like 4-5 projects and having a separate attribute "can-add-skills" can add new ones. they don thave to be live immediately but can be reviewed by someone and added in 1-2 weeks. even if wont help immediately will help after a month or two.

Example "libGdx" is a framework that makes mobile games, but even if u know android most wont know this. but then you add android in your project then they act like they do as it comes in their feed. better would be if i could just put libGdx. This is a special skill. Not to be mixed with the main stream of android developers..

To be clear. Like we can choose android or java as a skill now, we
should be able to add a skill like libGdx and after a 1-2 day review by
peers it should be allowed. so when posting a project a new key word
might be available but i can ask for it and then can edit my project
keywords later or at least add it in a future project. similarly in some
place i should be to suggest new keywords without having to post a
project. can keep this open for few buyers only, who know what they are
doing and have experience using the site
When i worked for a product company for 3 years, there was a lot of custom code made by many developers. And since we had over 20 customers there were a lot of settings and flag driven features.

Some developer would use 'yes' to denote something was true or enabled. Others would use 'Y' others would use 'true' and a few would be case in sensitive. For a few '1' was okay to denoate true.

Similarly false could be 'f', 'FALSE', 0, 'no' in strict case or case insensitive.

Made a small function to denote truthy value parsing, along with a default (if null or that row missing from the RDBMS table).

boolean isTruthy(String value, boolean default){

if(value == null || value.length()){

char c = Character.toLowerCase(value.charAt(0));

return c == 'y' || c == 't' || c=='1';

}

To google support
1. in full screen goes to HD even if i made it go to 480 or 360p in earlier videos. can you add a setting in profile for your player not to do this? Why? Live in India, pay INR 1300/- per month to a "fibre" optic broad band provider (ACT) but still get slow connections, except for their sponsored speedtest site! duh. If your player does not go to HD i can watch without pauces and bad breaks.

2. similarly with annotations - a setting in profile to turn off by default

Note this was shared via the feedback tab too but re sharing so others who agree can send to them as well

To Times of India Editor:
Saw an article in the technology section of the TOI physical news paper on 17th April, 2014 about HeartBeat and SSL, it has lists of banks and other websites and the results from some tool.

Would be good if they update the website with note on banks, instead of just pulling the article.
The main domain of the banks like hdfcbank.com or icicibank.com when anyone
who has used netbanking and looked a the address bar should know that
the domain changes. and with that the certificate so for example icici
is https://infinity.icicibank.co.in and HDFC is https://netbanking.hdfcbank.com/
why the difference - i dont know just the way it was implemented -
maybe can change the link without affecting the main site. someone did
it years back and just continued. with a sub domain can even have a
different IP/ web server, more clustering options. And a sub domain
needs a different certificate; so they put the grand security on
this and the main site that is just links, marketing & help content.

Is incorrect to say icici has no ssl, please add this note
that the sub domains where net banking happens does have (after testing
it). I don't work for a bank nor a share holder but know something about server tech.

Really makes you think how much of what you report is true and how much
is just ignorant, under researched or a way of getting back to people who are not
advertising enough? Maybe vet these articles by paying tech savvy people to proof read first?
We insert into the code a special tag to delimit code that need to be stripped by the Ant script. Let's say we use //@STARTDEBUG@// and //@ENDDEBUG@//.

<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">package academic.howto;
<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">

<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">import javax.swing.JFrame;
<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">

<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">public class Example {
<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">

<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">public static void main(String args[]){
<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">JFrame f = new JFrame();
<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">f.setSize(300,200);
<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">f.setVisible(true);
<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">f.setTitle("HowTo");
<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">//@STARTDEBUG@//
<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">f.setTitle(f.getTitle() + " DEBUG version");
<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">//@ENDDEBUG@//
<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">f.setDefaultCloseOperation(JFrame.EXIT_ON_CLOSE);
<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">}
<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">}

If you execute this code, the JFrame title will have the word "DEBUG" appended to it.

The Ant script to remove the debugging code is :

You do this for each property.

Lets assume your command line to start jva initially looks like:
java org.mypack.Main

So if you need to set to properties
usePort=2322
factoryClass=org.mypack.net.Factory1

Then the new command line will be:

java -DusePort=2322 -DfactoryClass=org.mypack.net.Factory1 org.mypack.Main

Pretty obvious except I was not sure if I need to put a ; between properties or have multiple -D

For those using an IDE:
Sometimes web apps need to parse the URL and since all real URLS have at least one '.' localhost might not be suitable for testing.

To get around this :

Open the file called hosts its default location is c:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts or more accurately

%windir%\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

{To get the full path on your system you could type

echo %windir%\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

on a command prompt}

Open it in notepad and add the line at end

127.0.0.1 www.a.com

This is how my file looks

---- start hosts ----
# Copyright (c) 1993-1999 Microsoft Corp.
#
# This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
#
# This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
# entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should
# be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.
# The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one
# space.
#
# Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual
# lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol.
#
# For example:
#
# 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server
# 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host
127.0.0.1 localhost
127.0.0.1 a.com
127.0.0.1 www.a.com
---- end hosts ----

Now in any browser goto http://a.com/ use this with my XAMPP-PHP-MYSQL set up on local

It maps to local host. Use it as you would use localhost. If your web server is running on a different IP then you can specify that as in

http://a.com:8080

Comments welcome. thank you

This utility does that in a jiffy.

Select files, right click and choose to send to this App : CmdLineToDirTxt.exe

It can either save the file names to a file or copy to the clibboard. Either way it looks like this:

just copy it to your send to folder (or open it and make it copy it self)
firefox with a new profile - 2nd session, different set of cookiesyou can start firefox in with a new profile

with the option

--no-remote -p tushar

To do this make a new short cut to firefox.exe

then right click the short cut, choose properties

at the end of the Target you will see

\firefox.exe

to this add a space and --no-remote -p tushar

tushar can be your name or any string like profile2

The complete shortcut target in windows XP or Vista fast lovepretty sad to hear about Prithum and his wife. they got married, had 2 kids and now cant stand one another. more sad is how they fought and dragged their families in, the police and friends. if you cannot get along go to a councilor, definitely do not fight like dogs. or just end it clean and in court.Tushar
